Founded in 2008, CommonThreadz is a nonprofit helping orphans & vulnerable children in developing nations to reach their full potential through the empowerment of the children, their caretakers & the local grass roots community organizations that support them.

Current Project

CommonThreadz is building the first school in Lanjani, Tanzania:

  • Maasai village
  • Giving the local community an opportunity to survive, and thrive
  • Country donated 100 acres for the project
  • Africa’s Promise Village, our strategic non-profit partner, is creating the curriculum and training the Maasai teachers
  • Village of 3,500 residents
  • 10,000 square foot school for 300 students
  • Designed in collaboration with UT Austin Department of Architecture
  • 100% sustainable

Past Projects

CommonThreadz was founded in 2008 and has been active in philantropic ventures in South Africa, Nicaragua and Haiti, inlcuding:

  • Funding orphan feeding program in Mtunzini, South Africa
  • Building community school in Nicaragua for a community of 2,000 residents
  • Delivering shoes to orphans in Haiti
