About the Contest — Open to the Public
![]()
(NOTE: CommonThreadz will continue to commission artists for our t-shirt designs. Only our Special-Edition shirts that are in collaboration with celebrities and musicians will incorporate a design contest that is open to the public.)
CommonThreadz, in collaboration with Gina Ravera (of The Closer, The Great Debaters, ER, Soul Food and more...) proudly brings you our inaugural Celebrity T-Shirt Design Competition for Charity with Gina Ravera. This will be an ongoing monthly competition, with new celebrities / musicians and their selected cause and design theme announced each month!
CommonThreadz and Gina are looking for a Special-Edition tee shirt design to celebrate Gina's very own charity, Project Reina — a health and pro-wellness campaign created to empower young women and girls 13 to 24, especially those hardest hit in the United States by the HIV/AIDS pandemic: African Americans and Latinas. CommonThreadz and Gina want to see if YOU have any ideas for a great t-shirt design that reflects this great cause.
We're asking you to submit a design that you think embodies the noble work of Project Reina and incorporate it in a T-Shirt. Gina Ravera and Project Reina have partnered with CommonThreadz to collect submitted designs and print the winning T-Shirt design and sell it online, with lots of prizes for the winner too!
As with all of the t-shirts that CommonThreadz sells, we will give a school uniform to an orphan or vulnerable child in Africa for each t-shirt purchased, and after the cost of the uniform, all remaining funds will go to Project Reina. Other than the cost of the shirt, 100% of proceeds go to charity! Click here to submit a design.

In order to achieve extraordinary impact, greatness has more to do with how nonprofits work with one another than what one group can do alone. No one can do it alone: no individual, no group, no organization. The most dynamic way to create true, meaningful impact is through partnership. Partnership is the way to create social change; leveraging resources and investing in a network comprised of like-minded individuals. It is no longer about charity, it is about community. Acting collectively as forces for good.
Partnership – CommonThreadz and Project Reina:

Together, we harness the power of partnership and become greater forces for good.
